Ian is an Inspector of Police - serving in the New Zealand Police since 1984. Ian’s governance career includes being a Trustee on the Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust, a School Trustee and Chairperson of a School Board of Trustees. Ian has been the Chair of the Police and Families Credit Union’s Rules and Training and Remuneration Subcommittees.

Ian is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
